Community Groups |
|
A community group is a way in which the people of Hillside connect with each other in a smaller, more intimate setting. Connection is a fundamental need for everyone and a core value for us as a church. This connection should produce not only friendships, but also Christ-centered relationships and care for one another.
There's a standing invitation for anyone to join in anytime! Community groups are ongoing and typically meet twice a month. A group will multiply as it grows past a certain size. Each quarter all the groups mix with one or two other groups and have a social together.

MARCH 2012 UPDATE: |
The groups listed below are all new and currently taking shape, and we hope to have more groups forming in the months ahead. |
Current Groups
|
Parents of Teens
This group is comprised mostly of parents of teenagers. Together we encourage each to grow in our faith so that we can model that for our teens and be more effective parents. We enjoy a lot of fun fellowship together, discuss various books, and pray together. We typically meet in the Parker area.

Serving Together
We are a group of people who are on fire for serving and seeking out "the least of these" as the body of Christ, and being His hands and feet. While our group will spend time getting to know each other, and praying for one another, we would like to split our time equally between "dinner group" type meetings and time out serving in the community. We are looking for opportunities to serve in places long-term, as opposed to shorter service type projects, in order to build relationships with those we are serving.

Young Singles
We a group twenty-somethings, most of us are single, and our goal is to build a Christ-centered, biblical community within which we can meet one another’s needs and build up one another’s faith, and basically share life together.
